I would guess that if your'e an Asian nerdy guy, you'd have to be physically attractive and fit (lots of athletes in these top frats), smooth with girls, sociable, sophisticated, and put together, but no guarantees. It really depends on who you're associating with. Basically I agree with you that the DOC provides a great opportunity for those who chose to take advantage of it. You might be subjected to some hazing during the pledge process though (like the article in the original post), but then you'll be part of a frat that hosts parties, and will have a solid social group. I know very little about the specifics about the Dartmouth Bound program in particular, but I do know that summer programs typically don't do much for your chances of admission to elite schools.
