The outer slide tubes are "bronze" and with thicker stock and oversleeves. This is a phenomenal alto trombone. Has a classic vintage sound... not surprisingly it reminds me of the excellent playing Olds trombones from the 30s. $1250 with case. The core is really something special on this trombone. Regarded as the best .500" jazz trombone ever made. The 34H is a really easy to play alto, the bell to slide relationship is where you'd expect it and partials line up easily.
